Dr. N. Alaguchamy

Dr. N. Alaguchamy, Professor and Head, P.G. The Research Department of Zoology assumed the charge of the Coordinator of the college IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) from Jan.2021 in order to prepare the college for the forthcoming NAAC visit. He possesses 27 years of rich experience in teaching and 8 years of research experience. He has produced 53 M Phil. Students and 01 Ph.D. Moreover, four students are pursuing Ph.D. under his guidance. He has published 37 articles in research journals so far. He has delivered several Lectures in Seminars and conferences.

His contribution for the College administration and Curriculum Development for various universities are quite remarkable. He acted as the Principal (FAC) twice in this college. Currently, he is the Chairman of P.G. Zoology Board of Pondicherry University, U.G. and P.G. Zoology Board of Mother Teresa University and also U.G. and P.G. Zoology board of Bharathidasan University. He has been acting as Examiner in many Autonomous colleges for both theory and practical examinations. He is a member of the Ethical Committee of the Government Medical College, Sivagangai.

Besides academic and administrative contributions, he gives due importance to cocurricular activities as well. He has acted as NSS Programme Officer, RUSA co-ordinator and also for (CoP) Career Oriented Programme- Medical Laboratory Technology (2011-2016).
