Book Release Ceremony at Ilayangudi Hr. Sec. School

A book entitled English for Classroom Dynamics authored by Dr.K.Sathya Sai was released by Hajee K.A.K.SYED KHAN MOHAMED, the President of the Management Trust on 23.4.2019 at 11.00 a.m. at the Seminar hall and the first copy of the book was received by Mr. Mohammad Ilyas, the Head master. The author of the book, as a resource person, exclusively developed it for a ten day teacher support programme organized by the school management for the school teachers.

The president of the ceremony in his address said that the use of the second language for knowledge acquisition involved a lot of challenges in it. Incompetent language knowledge and skills of a teacher would make an adverse effect on the learners. Hence the teachers must equip themselves with adequate knowledge and skills in English Communication. The book would serve to meet those requirements, he added. The Head Master who felicitated over the function said that there were overwhelming responses from the school teachers for this programme and the objective of programme was to enhance Spoken competency of the teachers which would in turn create a remarkable change among students and in the school environment. Member of management committee, Janab K.N.E.ABDUL HAMEED also felicitated on the occasion.

The author of the book said that Effective communication skills were really important for teachers to transmit knowledge, to manage classroom efficiently and to interact with students fruitfully in the class. Further he added that the courseware was designed using CLIL and ABL and other appropriate methodologies to enhance classroom dynamism and to make learners actively participate in the learning process by means of asking questing and having discussion on the topics and involve in activities such as; consultation with colleagues, planning lessons together, taking team approach for problem solving and keeping them abreast of new changes in education technology.

Mrs.S.A.ZENNATHUL HASEENA delivered welcome address and Mr.K.P.M.MOHAMED HANIFA introduced the author. Mrs. HAMEETHA BANU proposed the vote of thanks. Under the guidance of the correspondent and the Head master, the senior teachers made arrangements for the grand success of the programme.
